In partnership with Belgravia London

We don’t know if you’ve heard but the Queen is celebrating a big milestone – a whopping 70 years on the throne. And there are loads of events and launches to celebrate. There’s even a Queen Barbie doll hitting the shelves – that’s how excited people are.

But the thing we’re most looking forward to is the free flower festival Belgravia in Bloom. In a nod to Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, they are throwing the bash under a “Beautifully British” theme.

The flower festival runs from 23-29 May to coincide with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. This is the seventh year of the event, which sees the smart streets of Belgravia transformed into a veritable oasis with spectacular large-scale floral installations, displays and experiences made up of more than 20,000 blossoming flowers.

Luxury florists will show off their impressive skills and more than 40 shops, hotels and restaurants are taking part across Elizabeth Street, Motcomb Street, Pimlico Road and Eccleston Yards. Here are some of our top recommendations of what to see and do…

Belgravia is transformed into a veritable oasis made up of more than 20,000 blossoming flowers

1. See epic flower installations

You can be one of around 500,000 visitors to walk the pavements in Belgravia and be welcomed by a rainbow of colour and creativity. Everywhere you look there will be floral window displays and sculptures made of petals. A few highlights include: a 10-foot-high floral Big Ben in Halkin Arcade by florist Neill Strain, a Tea Garden with a pouring teapot in Eccleston Yards, and a 50 pence piece with the Queen’s Head by florist and Royal Warrant Holder Moyses Stevens.
