Daisy Edgar-Jones Just Nailed Period Dressing At The Sense And Sensibility Premiere
The new Sense and Sensibility adaptation is almost here, and last night the cast turned out in London for the world premiere. Daisy Edgar-Jones truly channelled Elinor Dashwood, arriving in a gown that looked like it stepped straight out of an 18th-century portrait.
The look
Daisy is proving she’s the next star to really embrace method dressing, and she stepped out in a period-inspired Vivienne Westwood gown that would surely earn Austen’s stamp of approval. The champagne coloured, cascading satin number featured a plunging neckline and a fitted bodice.
The accessories and styling stayed firmly on theme too. The look was punctuated by a vintage pendant necklace from Boucheron’s Private Collection, originally released in 1877 and brought out of the Maison’s archives especially for her.

Daisy’s Instagram comments are flooded with praise for the look, with fans also expressing their excitement for the film’s pending release. One affectionately wrote, “I mean the dress. You look actually incredible”, while another made a playful nod to Normal People, commenting, “You look really well.”
