High Street Homeare: Damson Madder

London-based brand Damson Madder had a stellar year in fashion, cementing themselves as the fashion girl’s affordable brand of choice. Everyone from content creator Lucy Williams to A-list actress Anya Taylor-Joy was spotted in the brand that plays on that quirky, super busy, colourful and print-heavy Scandi style look.

Americana-Inspired Prints: Jenna Elsby Studio

We’re always on the hunt for unique and original but affordable art for the home and our latest discovery is just that. Recently launched, Jenna Elsby Studio, creates limited-edition prints inspired by her love for vintage Americana and the free spirit of the 1970s.

My latest collection, “To Look For America,” is so named because of a line from the Simon & Garfunkel song America,” explains Jenna. “The song has this haunting longing, a search for freedom, stardom, success, and fulfilment – however you interpret it.”

Her pieces are pretty and soft but also come with a punch of personality and humour, such as the “Dancefloor Democracy” Studio 540-inspired print, or the abstract “Not My First Rodeo” cowboy boot piece that has a Western-inspired nod. Although canvas and paintbrush are her number one medium, Jenna is a thoroughly modern artist and in February she will launch her debut YouTube series, Room Service.

“It’s essentially my fantasy dinner party coming to life,” Jenna told us. “I am fascinated by creativity and all the weird and wonderful forms it can take and the series is called Room Service, because each episode is filmed in a hotel room, with me and my guest on the bed ordering room service and having a good chat.”

Sounds like our kind of night-in.

The New Hotel With Cosy Interiors: Saltmoore

Bed down in interiors that balance cosy and chic at the new North Yorkshire-based hotel, Saltmoore. The 43-bedroom hotel has a dedicated nature-based and holistic spa on-site, gardens and a charming orchard lined with plum and pear trees, and food from ex-The Fife Arms Head Chef, Chef Adam Maddock, but it’s the interiors that we can’t wait to check out.

Think soft, ocean-inspired palettes and nature-based tones, with deep teal tiled bathrooms. Some rooms have grand roll-top silver baths, pretty floral-inspired upholstered headboards, or decadent bespoke panelling, while the stunning Orangerie Bar is a sun-drenched haven filled with foliage overhead, rich mossy green velvets, and clean lines.

To book: Room rates start from £420 on the weekend and from £350 midweek at both Saltmoore House and The Beach House.
