The most Instagrammable cafes in London

EllaMia

Pink, pink and more pink. That seems to be the overall theme of the gourmet breakfast eatery EllaMia at St Martins Lane Hotel and, quite frankly, we’re all on board. Brushed gold accents, subtle floral patterns and dusty pink hues fill the interiors and also transpose into the food and beverage scene. Seriously, just look at those gorgeous lattes.

From savoury snacks to sweet treats, protein shakes to coffee and Mariage Frères tea, EllaMia allows you to indulge your sweet tooth in a sophisticated craft coffee shop by day. By night, tuck into wine and focaccia over candlelight in one of the most Instagrammable cafes in London.

Anya Cafe

Launching a cafe when you’re a luxury lifestyle retailer perhaps isn’t the first thing on your agenda, but that didn’t stop Anya Hindmarch from launching the Anya Cafe. Inspired by the British cafe, it’s become renowned for its picture-perfect cakes and adorable packaging.

Expect all of the cakes to be bedazzled with her signature (edible) googly eyes – so cute!

Pasticceria Marchesi

Fashion fans should bookmark this undeniably chic patisserie pronto. Pasticceria Marchesi is one of Milan’s most established bakeries and is now owned by one of the world’s biggest fashion powerhouses, Prada. They opened a London outpost  and it’s become one of Mount Street’s most Instagrammable spots – for both it’s sweet treats and sugar almond coloured interiors.

Pophams

This one’s technically a bakery and restaurant but when it’s this cute, how could we not include it? Founded by Ollie Gold, Pophams has quickly become a London institute when it comes to the flakiest pastries. You can literally count the lines in the pastry puffs. Grab a selection of your favourites, pair it with a cup of coffee and sit in for a late morning of people watching.

Since opening up in 2018 after Zahra graduated from Gordon Ramsay’s culinary academy, Feya has since grown and now consists of three stunning cafes across Bond Street, Knightsbridge and Marble Arch. Each has its own distinct personality filled with everything from cherry blossom trees and florals to picture-perfect cakes and patisserie.

EL&N

Arguably one of the most Instagrammable cafes in London town, if not the most, EL&N has been flooding our socials for longer than we can remember. It might have something to do with its insatiable flower and love heart-covered walls. E&LN started out on Park Lane and quickly became the influencers’ hangout of choice thanks to housing more pink than you’ll find in Elton John’s walk-in wardrobe. Seriously. The walls: pink, the floors: pink, the ceiling, yep, slime green. Only kidding. They’re pink too. And they quickly took over spots in Selfridges, Oxford Street, The Knightsbridge Estate and more.

Aubaine

Hay fever sufferers will want to head to Aubaine in Selfridges for a very convincing canopy of lilac wisteria, covetable tiles and a tempting French-inspired menu. Pop on your best shoes as their floor tiles are just as snap-worthy as the floral features. With multiple locations dotted around the city, head down for a dreamy brunch, latte art and catch-ups with the girls.

Peggy Porschen

Peggy Porschen has been a stalwart feature on Instagram since day dot thanks to its pink-hued interiors, beautiful cakes and floral fuelled entrance.

For flower lovers, this is perhaps one of the most floral Instagrammable cafes in London with ever-changing bouquets hanging outside in pastel colours.

Saint Aymes

Inspired by the beauty of their Nanas’ floral garden, Michela and Lois Wilson have mastered the art of stunning window displays and are available for interior hire as a result. From flowers bursting with colour to slithers of lavender and more, the noteworthy Saint Aymes is a real beauty.

If it’s your birthday coming up, book in for their pink-hued afternoon tea sensational. Think 24ct gold cotton candy, raspberry macaroons, tiramisu and an assortment of savoury finger sandwiches. Yum.

Grind

Our favourite collection of Melbourne-inspired coffee houses, Grind, now have multiple venues to their name. Each offering something slightly different (but always with perfectly-made coffee in trademark red cups), they put the ‘cool’ in caffeine. You can usually spot them a mile off though thanks to their trademark neon lights.

The slightly bigger venues with kitchens serve an all-day menu so you can take your laptop, load up the wifi and while away the day. Visit later in the evening and get your espresso in martini form.

Palm Vaults

Palm Vaults, once the home of pink jungle-inspired interiors, has had a major revamp. It’s recently reopened to an even more aesthetically pleasing space – think concept store-meets-coffee shop. There are plenty of pastels to go around, from the clothing rails and accessories down to the takeaway coffee cups.

Daisy Green Collection

The likes of the Daisy Green Collection need little introduction. You’ve probably seen one of their beautifully curated joints flashing up on your social feeds numerous times.

The collection is famed for its eccentric and rebellious artwork booming out against chipped grey walls, issuing a run-down art gallery with a desolate warehouse vibe. Our favourite, Scarlett Green, doesn’t shy away from this either, with neon head-turners lining the walls and a wanderlust-worthy photograph of Bondi beach, in keeping with the Aus theme. The bar is awash with jumbles of spirits, wines and atmosphere, with pastel-washed stools lining the marble bar. Plush sofas, quite 80s reminiscent outline the restaurant below hangings of Roy Lichtenstein-style art.

Milk Beach is the cute café and natural wine bar in Queen’s Park which is in fact named after the renowned Sydney beach. They’re all for organic and are a dab hand at providing natural wines and carefully roasted coffees and joining these USPs is the minimalist interiors found inside the airy venue. It’s the next best thing to Sydney right now at least…

Plus, they recently up an outpost in Soho – even more opportunity to experience the best of Australia in one of the most Instagrammable cafes in London.

Biscuiteers

Not only does Biscuiteers sell a wide range of mouth-watering biscuits (just look how adorable these Mr Men ones are), cupcakes, and macaroons- but the outside of the boutique will have you rushing in front to pose for a pic. The black and white exterior notably stands out against the red brick row, making it one of the most recognisable cafes in London. If this wasn’t convincing enough, this Instagrammable cafe in London also offers icing masterclasses- where you will leave with lots of tips and treats.

Farm Girl

Photogenic as well as delicious, Farm Girl is a bright and casual spot for both Instagram and health fanatics alike. The cafe offers a wide range of holistic dishes that use quality, organic ingredients. Another plus- the spot is doggy-friendly! So, bring your four-legged pal and enjoy the cool ambience after a busy day in the city.

Attendant

It’s not everyday you walk into a cafe and you’re greeted with urinals, but then again, it’s not everyday you grab a coffee or brunch at Attendant’s Fitzrovia branch.

The former Victorian loos have been transformed into one of the most talked about specialty coffee and brunch cafes, and if their striking green and original Victorian floor tiles, as well as urinals are anything to go by, we can see why. Once you’ve been snap-happy with the interiors, order in your brunch and feast on one of the best bacon baps in London.

Paper & Cup

Paper & Cup is a not-for-profit social enterprise created by the Spitalfields Crypt Trust and is also a fine spot to while away your hours sipping on coffee and scrolling through Instagram. The white-on-blue storefront makes for the perfect trendy, yet simple pic. It’s stocked with ethical snacks, cakes, and even second-hand books from local artists too, which is a lovely touch.
