The Film We’re Excited For: Dune, Part 2
One of the biggest releases of the year, Dune Part Two stars Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, and continues the epic sci-fi story that begin in 2021’s Dune. Paul Atreides (Chalamet) unites with the Fremen of Arrakis in order to fight the villainous Baron Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgard), as he’s accompanied by Chani (Zendaya). The decisions he’ll make could determine the fate of the entire universe. It also stars Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Léa Seydoux and Christopher Walken.
What’s more, the film is best viewed in IMAX, the colossal cinema screens that give you more picture and bigger sound. Dune: Part Two was filmed with IMAX-certified cameras.

The New Theatre Show To Book: Opening Night
Acclaimed actress Sheridan Smith is heading back to the West End this month with Opening Night, a new musical with music and lyrics penned by Rufus Wainwright. An adaption of the 70s film, Opening Night follows an ageing stage actress, Myrtle Gordon (played by Smith), who is disturbed by the death of one of her fans in the midst of her making an acting comeback. Grappling drama on and off the stage, Myrtle’s inner turmoil starts to have an effect on the rest of the cast, pushing them to deliver “the performance of their lives”. It’s sure to be a winner.

The Book Everyone Is Talking About: Clear
Author Carys Davies is releasing her intriguing new novel Clear, set on a remote island off the coast of Scotland. Scottish minister John is tasked with travelling to a small, remote island to evict its one solitary inhabitant, Ivar, who has lived cut off and alone for years. John’s wife Mary is worried about the idea of the trip, and her fears are apparently proved correct when disaster strikes and John falls down a cliff just after arriving. Still alive but injured, he’s found by Ivar and taken to his house, and the men, strangers to each other, begin to bond. You’ll want to buy it off the cover art alone.

The New TV Show To Binge: Palm Royale
March might be a chilly month, but you can dip into the sun with the brand new comedy series Palm Royale, starring Kristen Wiig and coming to Apple TV+. The Bridesmaids star plays Maxine, a woman who’s recently arrived in the idyllic town of Palm Beach in Florida, with a mind to mingle with its high society. However, breaking through the barrier to cement her place is not as easy as it might seem, and Maxine soon finds she’ll have to work to earn the respect of Palm Beach’s rich and famous. The hilarious series takes place against the backdrop of the transformative year of 1969, as the US lands on the moon and gets a new President, Richard Nixon. Laura Dern, Leslie Bibb, Kaia Gerber, Amber Chardae Robinson, and Ricky Martin also star.

The New Podcast To Listen To: Serial, Season 4
Pop culture phenomenon Serial, often called one of the most influential podcasts of all time, returns for a fourth season, six years after Season 3. This time around, host Sarah Koenig steps into the dark world of the controversial Guantanamo Bay facility and its history. “Gitmo”, as it has been dubbed, is located near Cuba, and was supposed to be a temporary measure opened in 2002 to hold suspected terror suspects, but has remained used ever since. Numerous politicians have promised to close it, namely President Obama, but it is still open. The podcast features interviews with guards, legal teams, former prisoners and interrogators to tell the human story of one of the world’s most notorious prisons.
