8 Men’s Autumn Winter Fashion Trends You’ll Actually Want To Wear
From the comeback kid – the tie – to a pop of a red sock, double-breasted blazers to loose, relaxed tailoring, the men’s Autumn/Winter fashion trends were nothing if not wearable. We’ve edited out our favourites, seen on the AW24 runways of Gucci, Wales Bonner, Dries Van Noten and more, to bring you the new season looks you’re actually going to want to wear…
1. Return of the tie
Ties made a comeback on the runways this season. Get raiding your dad’s vintage selection, and local charity shops or invest in business-like stripes from Gucci or Dries Van Noten.

2. Loose tailoring
Blazers go oversized and smart pants take on a wide-leg this season for a more relaxed, low-key feel to men’s tailoring. COS do some of the best loose tailoring on the high street, whilst PANGAIA‘s linen sleeve shirt is a great sustainable option.

3. More jewels
Men’s jewellery has been having a moment on the red carpet for a while, thanks to fashion boys like Timothée Chalamet and Barry Keoghan – never ones to shy away from a good brooch or ring stack. The trend has trickled down to the street style stars layering up pendants, signet rings and cuff bracelets.

4. Going sleeveless
The sleeveless vest was everywhere last season and it looks set to stay with Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Marni all sending them down the runway. Wear alone with tailored trousers for the evening or layer up over a dagger collar shirt for a vintage feel.

5. Pops of red
Red has been the colour du jour in womenswear for several seasons, but it’s not strictly for the girls. Alexander McQueen, Dior Homme and Gucci added a scarlet pop to their AW24 collections. We love a simple flash of red socks, a more statement chunky knit or a red cap to add a sporty edge to classic tailoring.

6. Neckerchiefs
We’ve waxed lyrical about the power of the neckerchief many times but it does make most outfits a little cooler. It plays into the Western trend that sees no sign of abating but also gives a cool Parisian feel to a classic tee and shacket combo. The high street is full of great options right now but if you’re looking to invest, Acne’s coral cotton scarf is a great option. Or, take a rummage in local vintage shops for love-worn designs.

7. Double-breasted blazers
If there was one jacket shape that stood out in the men’s AW24 collections, it was the double-breasted blazer. Usually reserved for evening attire, the new way to style one is more casual. From camel colours paired with wide-leg inky denim to pastel hues paired with ’90s cargo pants, they were seen everywhere from Gucci to Dries Van Noten and Wales Bonner.

8. Chunky shoes
Finally, put away your Gore-Tex and Gazelles for the cooler months and style all your looks with a chunky shoe. From monochrome penny loafers with slacks to brown Dr Martens with light-wash jeans.
