Sadie Sink Just Channelled 2000s Claire Danes

Sadie Sink has made her long-awaited debut in the West End rendition of Romeo & Juliet. Last night, the star celebrated at the London premiere party in what we could only describe as an angelic Prada dress. Whilst the number is made just for her, it pays stylish homage to the Juliet that came before her, and the internet couldn’t be more in love with the look.
The look
To celebrate her West End debut, 23-year-old Sadie Sink stepped out into arguably her most iconic look: a satin, smocked ivory dress with a double-banded waist and a wide neck, princess-capped shoulder cut. It’s a custom-made piece designed by none other than Prada

Currently playing Juliet in the West End revival of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, the dress couldn’t be more suited. For one, it’s fit for an angel, and her hair and makeup fit the vibe with simple, undone styling (a look we love).
While the dress is, of course, one-of-a-kind, the style has been sought after for decades; it’s a timeless piece that many brands attempt to recreate. That said, we think this is the best piece yet in the market of princess dresses.
The inspiration
But that’s not the only reason this dress couldn’t be more of a move for Sink’s opening night. While the dress is singular, it pays homage to Claire Danes, who played the Shakespearean heroine back in 1996 alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in Baz Lurhman‘s Romeo + Juliet. In the iconic balcony scene, Danes dons a similar piece with the same double-banded waist.

The internet reacts
Obviously, the internet has opinions on such a timeless look — and the reactions are a resounding Yes! In the words of one commenter, “It’s giving princess serenity// Dior SS 1992”, another excitedly saying: “one of the best looks of the year/ever for me.”
For many, Sink resembled “a true angel” and a “princess”. One thing we can all agree on is that she looks “stunning.”
