Here’s What’s On The Fashion Team’s Moodboards For Spring

Nothing like a fresh new season to get our sartorial juices flowing. With warmer temperatures on the horizon, the temptation of summer travel plans, and a temporary farewell to jumper and coat season, The Handbook’s fashion team has been busy pinning its favourite looks, pieces, people, and vibes of the moment. Here’s what they are moodboarding fashion-wise this season.
1. Retro denim & nostalgic stripes
I’m always working on a wardrobe that is functional, but it still needs to be fun.

My spring style…
It’s so easy to get caught up in the promise of sunny days and incredible warm-weather Instagram looks, but in reality, they just don’t work for me. So, this spring, I’m focusing on fabrics, silhouettes, and pops of print that work cohesively together. I’m always working on a wardrobe that is functional, but it still needs to be fun.
Pieces I’ve pinned…
I bought a pair of leopard print Bermuda denim shorts last year and wore them to death, so I’m definitely going to invest in a mid-wash classic denim pair this year. They will go with everything from oversized blazers and heels to vintage, love-worn tees. Stripes always feel like summer is on its way; I’m loving maritime vibes in red and chunkier striped trousers in faded, almost ‘80s colour palettes – so fun, but also really flattering.

2. Minimalist & modern
This season, I feel more connected to my personal style than ever, drawn to luxe fabrics, soft tonal hues, and fashion-forward accessories.

My spring style…
In the past, I’ve experimented with bolder colours and prints, but truthfully, they rarely make it into my real-life rotation.
Pieces I’ve pinned…
Instead, my spring wardrobe is all about relaxed, versatile pieces – like crisp white shirts, wide-leg trousers, oversized blazers – styled with considered details: a fringed scarf tied at the waist, a slouchy leather tote slung over the shoulder, a long tassel necklace, and effortlessly chic flats or kitten heels.

3. Tailored monochrome & pops of colour
I’m drawn to tailored silhouettes and a monochrome palette, with the occasional pop of colour.

My spring style…
As we head into spring, I’m drawn to tailored silhouettes and a monochrome palette of cream and beige, with the occasional pop of green or burgundy. I love balancing the relaxed feel of warm-weather dressing with sharper pieces like Bermuda shorts and oversized blazers. The ‘Chic but Cool’ aesthetic circulating on socials feels very me, and this board definitely reflects the trend.
Pieces I’ve pinned…
Capri pants, silk scarves, and oversized sunglasses complete the look. It’s all about channelling Euro-summer style, even if it’s only May in London.
