28 Spring Jackets For Sunnier Days

Trusty winter coat, bye-bye. Spring is literally around the corner after what feels like the longest winter in history and we’re ready for sunshine and daffodils… and new-season spring jackets, naturally. Here’s hoping we can pack that guy away until September at least (let’s stay on the right side of optimism here).
Spanning some of the season’s biggest trends – all of which feel very timeless – from oversized denim to barn jackets and sumptuous brown suede, scroll to shop the edit…
A lightweight coat will work come rain or shine and is a perfect transitional piece to layer up or wear solo – and will make the unpredictability of the British weather that bit more bearable.
First up, the quilted jacket looks set to stay for 2025, ideal if you like to lean into that nonchalant spring/summer bohemian vibe. Sézane always do a great riff on the style and this season their Renato style in pastel pink colours is the perfect overlayer to light denim and spring boots.
The barn jacket is another huge trend and Toteme’s near-perfect version (it’s giving 2010’s Alexa Chung). Oversized, with structured shoulders and in a lighter colour palette. Perfection.
If denim is more your thing, there are plenty of new-season styles in cooler, looser cuts that look great over leopard trousers, with double denim or layered on top of A-line skirts. Mango’s embroidered, quilted option will add a boho edge to barrel-leg jeans whilst Hush’s bomber style taps into the technical/windbreaker trend that is set to be huge for summer 2025.
Barn jackets are everywhere right now and Totême’s take on the trend is to of our wish list. Oversized, with structured shoulders and in a ligher colour palette. Perfection.
If there’s a London fashion brand making waves right now it is Damson Madder. Their reversible, quilted, puff-sleeved, ribbon-tied and whimsically embellished pieces have won over the Insta set.

Zara’s braided faux suede jacket plays into spring’s Western trend perfectly.
Heritage jackets are a great investment for this time of year and will take your through to summer festival season too. Add a modern edge with baggy jeans and lace-up ballet flats.
We’re yet to find a Sézane jacket we don’t like and their quilted numbers are no exception.
Little brown jackets are everywhere right now and trust us when we say they go with anything. The high street has some great options but if you’re looking to invest, this Cara Cara patchwork style gets our vote.
