Put your curling skills to the test and challenge your friends to a round at Coal Drops Yard’s winter pop-up. Running until the end of February, the 90s have returned thanks to Club Curling, the kitsch experience allowing you to try your hand at the fun sport. 

In the run-up to Christmas, there’ll be special evening sessions packed out with DJs curated by Voices Radio, pumping out 90s tunes and a cocktail bar to enjoy a frosty drink or two. 

With six colourful curling lanes available, booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.

Explore Pandora’s heartwarming pop-up

If you’re looking for the ultimate heartwarming pop-up to visit this festive season, bookmark Loves, Unboxed. Designed to look like a Pandora jewellery box, the renowned jewellery brand is inviting Londoners to step through its doors and into an art installation. 

Working with five of the UK’s most exciting up-and-coming artists, the space is dedicated to celebrating all different types of ‘loves’.

Inside the pop-up, you’ll be able to create your own expression of love and dedicate a heartfelt message to a loved one on the Christmas present tag. The exterior of the pop-up will be made from screens and will project the digital messages written by the guests inside, sharing the joy of love.

Maddox Gallery is back at it again with another brilliant exhibition, this time its Berkeley Street location has been taken over by David Yarrow’s new solo exhibit, Storytelling. 

Running until Sunday 26th November, the internationally renowned fine art photographer’s work will be on display, showcasing storytelling on a grand scale. From cinematic stories with celebrities to shooting wild beasts in their natural habitats, move from photograph to photograph to capture these fascinating narratives.

Explore Southbank Centre’s winter lights

As dark nights descend, the Southbank Centre will be lighting up the streets with a series of free outdoor artworks from contemporary artists specialising in light. 

Playing with both light and colour, this year’s trail features five new works. Illuminating the windows of the Queen Elizabeth Hall will be a new installation by Year 6 students from Oasis Academy Johanna in collaboration with Brixton-based architecture practice Squire & Partners – expect bespoke, winter-themed neon shapes. 

Other highlights include Marinella Senatore’s large-scale decorative sculpture We Rise by Lifting Others; Leon Villareal’s digital installation Cosmic Bloom; and Tim Etchells’ neon light artworks Suddenly (Morning and Night).

We’re not quite sure how this one is going to work but we’re incredibly excited to see it play out on stage. If you’re in need of filling your Stranger Things void, a brand new live-stage production of the Duffer Brothers Netflix hit series is set to land in London this weekend. 

Stranger Things: The First Shadow is set in Hawkins in 1959 before its world was turned upside down. The townsfolk had all of the usual worries until a new family moved to the town running away from a terrible past. Longing for a fresh start, Henry Creel and his family soon realise the shadows will follow them wherever they go.

Grosvenor Square’s Ever After Garden, in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, returns this weekend. Throughout the festive season, Grosvenor Square will light up Mayfair with over 25,000 illuminated white roses.
