Find a vintage wardrobe hero at this pop-up

If you’re looking to ditch fast-fashion this year, make the swap and invest in some wardrobe heroes at Hilda’s Stoke Newington pop-up this week. 

Running until this Friday, you can shop the curated range home to everything from knitted vests to drawstring bags, bright spring pieces to accessories you won’t want to miss.

Immerse yourself in the wonders of the planet

London’s set to get a brand new immersive experience this spring. Created in partnership with BBC Studios, Moon Eye Productions and Live Nation, the BBC Earth Experience offers a 360-degree audio-visual journey, featuring footage from the TV series Seven Worlds, One Planet. 

Narrated by David Attenborough, you’ll have the chance to be fully immersed and get stuck into the wonders of planet Earth. Journey through the ocean floor in the Water Life room, immerse yourself in the drone footage on the Vista Stage and see the wonders that grace the plant on a microscopic level in the Micro Life room. Educational and fun, this is a great one for all the family.

Take part in Amal’s sponsored walk

Little Amal, the 12-foot puppet of a 10-year-old Syrian refugee child from not-for-profit company The Walk, will be returning to London this weekend. Over the past few years Amal has become a symbol of human rights, especially those of refugees, and you’ll regularly find her popping up across the globe. 

This weekend Amal will be walking through Hampstead Heath raising awareness and support of displaced children across the world. All funds raised will be donated to Choose Love which helps support displayed refugee children in the UK and across the globe.

Try Copenhagen’s coolest culinary hotspot

Carousel’s latest takeover will be Copenhagen pop-up duo, Caos. Last summer saw best friends Marie Louise Westmark and Metel Martine Quint take over Denmark’s capital dining scene with pop-up residencies, and this week they will be taking over the Carousel kitchen to cook up some of their signature dishes. 

Menu highlights include charred spring gazpacho with cockles, mussels and homemade Caos hot sauce; wild garlic hake parcels with whey sauce; and open lasagne with langoustines and new season’s asparagus.

Get theatre ready with this tasty pre-theatre menu

Seeing a show in the West End is one of our favourite things about living here. Make this weekend’s viewing one to remember and book in for a pre-theatre meal at cocktail bar and restaurant Rockwell.

Party it up at this Hackney festival

Returning for its second edition, Risen is a London-based festival taking place this Saturday in Hackney Wick. Over 80 artists will be performing across seven different venues in the area. 

Expect some of the top leading names and rising stars in the bass, garage, disco house and techno scene to come together for a day packed with talent.

See the largest creatures to roam the earth in person

If you’ve got a little dinosaur-obsessed human at home, make their dreams a reality Easter break and book in for the Natural History Museum’s brand new exhibition dedicated to the largest creatures to have ever walked our planet. 

Titanosaur: Life as the Biggest Dinosaur takes a look at the Patagotitan mayorum. On display for the first time in Europe, this gigantic dino is four times heavier than Dippy the Diplodcus and 12 metres longer than Hope, the museum’s blue whale. 

The dinosaur kingdom will come to life through this mega exhibition, from illustrations of Cretaceous plants and animals to interactive zones.

Book in for an Easter wreath workshop

As if we needed another excuse to drape our front doors with a pretty perennials and foliage, Petersham Nurseries’ Richmond branch is hosting an Easter-themed wreath-making masterclass. 

Taking place this Saturday, the class will be led by director of horticulture Thomas Broom-Hughes who’ll be teaching you how to create a wreath bursting with colour and foliage. Expect to be making a special one-of-a-kind piece, complete with an environmentally friendly willow-based wreath, British foliage and flowering bulbs.
