Add some colour to your weekend with a little help from Maddox Gallery’s latest exhibition, Partners in Time by Coco Dàvez. On display until Sunday 23rd April, the exhibit showcases a collection of work by the Spanish painter, focusing on iconic real-life and fictional couples. 

From best friends and lovers to rivals and nemeses, the exhibition brings these famous faces to life through Dàvez’s signature pop-art-inspired style.

Returning with a bang is Brick Lane Jazz Festival, the annual three-day, multi-venue festival that brings together the biggest and rising names in the jazz scene today. 

This weekend sees over 50 artists come together for a bumper three days. Spread across seven Brick Lane venues, from Ninety One Living Room to the Brick Lane Tap Room, expect a brilliant line-up. Confirmed names include Bel Cobain, Koralo, Poppy Daniels, Beringei, Laani and more.

Support this Turkey & Syria fundraiser event

This Saturday sees the Royal Albert Hall host a big fundraiser in support of War Child and The Turkey Mozaik Foundations, following the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. 

Big names will be coming together for a night to remember. There’ll be sets from Marcus Mumford, Dermot Kennedy, Hozier, James Bay, Anna Calvi and Nilüfer Yanya, as well as an exclusive live performance from Solidarity Emsemble formed of Turkish, Kurdish, Arab and Alevi musicians from Turkey and Syria. Expect further appearances from Jumoké Fashola and Halit Ergenç who’ll be hosting the event, alongside appearances from Olivia Colman, Guga Mbatha-Raw and Omid Djalili.

Snag a vintage bargain at this car boot

Car boot sales don’t come classier than this. The hugely popular Classic Car Boot Sale is set to return to Granary Square this April with an engine-revving bang. 

The car boot sale, running 15-16th April, will take over Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard, bringing with it over 100 market stalls specialising in fashion, homeware, art and accessories. 

Peruse the stalls, scanning for that one special vintage item you’ve been longing for. Expect everything from vinyl records, collectibles, homewares and designer collections, prints and artworks. As the name suggests, there’ll also be vintage cars dotted throughout the market, with appearances from the Afro Classics Register and Dream Cars, as well as DJs blasting soul, funk, reggae and disco tunes spanning the decades.
