Our Home & Design Picks Of The Month

This month’s Interiors Heroes has something for all, whether you’re taking on a kitchen renovation or are looking for some soft furnishings to spruce up a tired space. From trends to Instagram accounts to follow, brand discoveries to new things from old favourites, here are all the home and design picks we’re loving from the world of interiors this month…
Home and design picks we love this month
Andrés Reisinger, the artist making waves on Instagram
No doubt you will have seen someone on your feed sharing one of Andrés Reisinger’s surreal images of late. The digital artist reimagines some of the world’s most iconic and beautiful buildings and landmarks in major cities draped in bouncy, fluffy, tactile fabric. The execution is meticulous and it’s hard to believe they are not real life photographs.
Reisinger loves pink which is a consistent thread in his work. From fluffy faux fur covering a Tokyo building to a London townhouse bathed in draped blush sheeting.
His images may not be real but they certainly inspire and tap into our perennial love affair with pink interiors.

Clever space-saving designs from Beaufort & Dunham
Isn’t everyone always on the hunt for more storage ideas and general space in their homes? If that’s you, British design brand, Beaufort & Dunham, is sure to peak your interest.
They specialise in handmade, bespoke kitchen shelving and console tables – any colour, any size – that will help to add space to your home and create curated corners with personality and style.
If you’ve always loved the idea of a console table in an entry hallway but don’t think you have the space, their Edwardian-inspired designs are the slimiest and daintiest we’ve seen, whilst still being substantial and design-led. Perfect for creating space for your keys, the mail or something prettier to set the tone of your home – a striking vase of flowers or indulgent smelling diffuser.
They are also masters of the kitchen shelf, creating pieces made to fit your exact available space and painted in your colour of choice. We love the option with peg rails for hanging everything from pretty copper pans to utensils or dried eucalyptus.
Bohemian style meets French chic with Caravane

If you love that Ibizan beach club meets trendy Tulum boutique hotel vibe when it comes to interiors, you need to check out Caravane.
The design destination actually started in Paris, in the fashionable Le Marais district, where they opened their first boutique. They have since made their way to London, Lyon, Nice, Bordeaux, Aix en Provence and Copenhagen, but stepping inside their stylish stores (or their online shop) is really a look at some of the world’s most beautiful interiors and global brands.
Expect quirky pieces that have a artisanal, bohemian feel to them, from a Yuka chair made from eucalyptus and woven cotton to terracotta striped jugs that will transform a tablescape, pure white linen covered sofas made for breezy Ibizian villas to rustic pendant lights made from banana fabric.
It is a brand with heart too, working responsibly with global artisans, slowly and respectfully, to create objects that are not only beautiful but full of love and storytelling.
Caravane’s wish is to be a window to the world.
Salvesen Graham is bringing boarders back

London-based, Salvesen Graham, are one of the UK’s most sought after interior design studios and having recently launched their own online store with a cornucopia of colourful design-led pieces, they’ve added a new product to the line that might take you on a trip down interiors memory lane. Yes, borders are back.
The Salvesen Graham team have reworked three prints into bordes that can be added to painted walls for a pop of interest, or married up with wallpapers to add texture and vibrancy to a room.
We love the zig zag striped design nestled below a picture rail or above skirting, or the braver floral trail design paired with the matching wallpaper for a dramatic look.

Iris Apfel teams up with Ruggable for a second collaboration

Fashion powerhouse and style icon, Iris Apfel, has joined forces with modern rug company, Ruggable, once again for a spring capsule collection that will add some of that eclectic iris charm to you home.
Featuring six boldly printed, colour-packed the rugs showcase everything from tropical motifs and bright jewel-tones, palm prints to animal designs that would work perfectly in a little one’s bedroom.
The collection draws inspiration from Iris’ own love of animals – she’s often seen referencing the likes of tropical birds or extravagant insects in her fashion and the look translates perfectly into the interiors world.
And the best bit? Ruggable’s designs are water-resistant, stain-resistant and can be chucked in the washing machine. Genius.

Pretty soft furnishings from Projektityyny

Finally, whether it’s a beautiful bedspread or a spring jacket, there’s no denying we love a bit of quilting here at The Handbook. So this brand was an absolute delight to stumble across.
Discovered on Glassette (our current no.1 when it comes to shopping interiors online), Nordic home textiles brand, Projektityyny, creates beautiful hand quilted pieces bursting with texture and tactility, individuality and coquettish charm. Think bedspreads in original Liberty print fabrics, bolster cushions crafted in candy stripes and frills and fairytale-worthy canopies that will make a child’s bedroom something magical.
All the pieces are made using traditional Finnish techniques in the brand’s West Dorset barn. We. Want. It. All.
