New Openings We’re Excited For In March

With the first signs of spring in the air, we’re already looking forward to returning to our favourite al fresco restaurants and summer terraces. But until then, we’ve got some exciting new restaurant openings to check out, from an exciting residency at Harvey Nichols to a Ukrainian restaurant that’s set to serve an array of delicious traditional dishes. Here are the new openings we’re excited about this month:
Kricket
Indian restaurant Kricket is launching a new spot in Shoreditch that’s drenched both inside and out in gorgeous Jaipur pink. Alongside the restaurant and bar, the Shoreditch restaurant will also be home to the team’s first Kafé – an all-day lifestyle space where you can come to relax from breakfast through dinner or to grab a coffee to go.
If you’re looking for a new spot for your work-from-home days this one looks like a great shout.

Ottolenghi Richmond
Ottolenghi Richmond, the first Ottolenghi location south of the river has just opened its doors. Expect platters of salads piled high, mountains of meringues and Ottolenghi’s celebrated pastries and cakes as well as brand-new, bespoke Richmond-inspired dishes. From buttermilk pancakes and the famous Ottolenghi shakshuka with smoked labneh and grilled focaccia to delicious salads like the char-grilled broccoli with chilli and garlic and roasted aubergine with yoghurt.

Trullo at Harvey Nichols

Islington’s much-loved restaurant, Trullo, is bringing its menu to Knightsbridge as part of a three-month residency at Harvey Nichols. Expect curation of seasonally-focussed dishes from chef-owner, Conor Gadd and you can look forward to an open kitchen and an all-Italian drinks list. Open for lunch and dinner daily, with its own products also available to purchase in-store, Trullo will welcome its first guests to the newly transformed space on 3rd March – the perfect spot to head to if you’re craving some Italian food after a day of shopping.

Luna

The team behind Los Mochis and Juno Omakase is opening Luna Omakase, an exclusive 12-seat restaurant hidden within Los Mochis London City. At the helm is Executive Head Chef Leonard Tanyag whose 20 years of experience and global travels will bring a deeply personal touch to traditional omakase dining. Luna Omakase will present sosaku-style edomae omakase, which is a modern interpretation of traditional edomae sushi. You can expect a 12-course daily changing tasting menu which will highlight the finest seasonal ingredients and sustainable seafood, shaped by Tanyag’s expertise.

Tasca


Tasca is a year-long kitchen residency by Head Chef, Josh Dallaway and Sommelier, Sinead Murdoch which opens on the new bar, Cav. Tasca is a love letter to their travels, inspired by the dining cultures of Portugal and Spain with the food focusing on regionality and produce. The wines are 80% female-founded and half of the wine list is from Portugal and Spain. The idea for Tasca came naturally to couple Josh and Sinead after spending extensive time in Portugal, Spain and the South of France. Whether popping in for a quick snack and a glass, or a lingering celebratory meal, Tasca sounds like the ideal spot. Dishes are a playful take on the food that most delighted the couple on their travels with simplicity and seasonality at its core.

Pitch Wharf, the stunning new flagship venue from Pitch, has officially opened on Churchill

Templar


Templar is a wine bar and sharing plates restaurant from the team behind Darkhorse, Lee Glen and Ian Goodman. The restaurant features an open dining room and a semi-private mezzanine-level dining area. Highlights of the menu include pig’s head croquette, fennel and Muscat grape salad, sea bass crudo, Amalfi lemon, cucumber, wild fennel and coriander and chargrilled monkfish tail, white wine sauce, sea herbs and pickled mushrooms. On the drinks menu, there’s a range of old-world wines and cocktails including a great olive oil and sea salt martini.
