September is a big month for new openings of 2025, so if you’re dreading the end of summer, here’s something to look forward to – a list of new foodie openings that can take you from Japanese-inspired artistry on your plate to classic, hearty pizza. These are the new restaurant openings to bookmark this month:

Il Bambini Club

Paris’s much-loved Bambini is arriving in London and making its UK debut at The Hoxton, Shoreditch this September. Il Bambini Club is set to be a lively new spot for all-day Italian dining with a dose of dolce vita charm. Taking over the ground floor of The Hoxton, will offer fresh pasta, pizza, and plenty of spritzes, all served in a buzzy, welcoming setting that feels equal parts trattoria and Italian holiday. With carefully curated design elements to bring a slice of Italy to Shoreditch, mid-week live music and delicious food, the atmosphere is designed to be fun and unmistakably Italian. Born in Paris and loved in Mègeve, this Shoreditch outpost is Bambini’s first venture into the UK, and it’s ready to make an impression with its signature mix of big flavours, warm service, and effortlessly cool vibes.

Michael Caines at The Stafford

Housed within The Stafford London, Michael Caines at The Stafford will be reflective of Caines’ distinctive ‘terroir cuisine’ while paying homage to London’s ever-evolving culinary scene. The menus will champion the changing seasons, with a focus on produce from within the British Isles, supporting regional producers and using sustainable practices from fishing and farming techniques. The menu features highlights like The Stafford beef wellington and Brixham Dover sole, warm lobster salad, cardamon vinaigrette and pan-roasted Brixham turbot, shellfish chowder.

Hexmoor

One of London’s coolest new openings has to be Hexmoor – the world’s first immersive, wizarding prison bar. From the minds behind some of the UK’s best immersive experiences (we’re talking about AlcotrazMoonshine and Avora), you can interact with magical characters, discover a secret portal to a real working wand shop, and fraternise with rogue sorcerers who have committed “crimes of dark arts”. Plus, you can expect a film-like backdrop, magical special effects and world-class cocktails.

Carbone

The legendary New York institution makes its way to London this month. All of their signature dishes will appear on the London menu, including the spicy rigatoni vodka, the veal chop parmesan served with its crispy, juicy bone, Octopus pizzaiolo, linguine vongole and lots more. The menu focuses on Italian-American culinary traditions that were born in New York City in the 20th century, and you can expect some real theatre on your plate, all served amidst some seriously glamorous interiors.

 CÉ LA VI

The modern Asian rooftop restaurant and bar is making its highly anticipated European debut with its first London location at Paddington Square. CÉ LA VI London will crown the top two floors of Paddington Square, becoming West London’s highest rooftop restaurant. Expect sweeping skyline views, bold modern Asian cuisine with a menu rooted in modern Asian cuisine. Look forward to dishes like miso seabass with Szechuan green chilli sauce, crispy red snapper, wagyu beef tataki with truffle ponzu and more. The venue will be spread across two levels with an outdoor terrace perfect for al fresco dining, while on the 17th floor, the restaurant, bar and lounge are open till late. Aram

Aram is a new cafe, deli and restaurant from Imad Alarnab, the founder of Imad’s Syrian Kitchen, set to open in Somerset House. A departure from Imad’s Syrian Kitchen, Aram will serve baked goods, salads, breakfasts and lunches from across the Eastern Mediterranean, with dishes inspired by the regions spanning Syria, Turkey, Cyprus, Jordan and beyond. Aram will overlook Somerset House’s River Terrace and will be open for breakfast and lunch – expect to be greeted by a counter generously piled high with pastries, dips, salads, wraps and breads, with soon to be signatures like zaatar croissants and halva brownies and a coffee counter serving the likes of cardamom spiced coffee, Syrian mint tea and spiced pomegranate fizz.

Brother Marcus

London’s much-loved restaurant chain is bringing some East-Med hospitality to the heart of Soho this autumn. Expect mezze-style sharing plates, free-flowing Greek wine, with a special set lunch and pre-theatre menu, as well as a subterranean 14-seat private dining room. Must try brunch dishes include the smoky shakshuka – two poached eggs in a pepper and tomato sauce topped with labneh and feta with a side of toasted fluffy pita, and sweet potato fritters (sweet potato, courgette and feta fritters, avocado, crispy kale, turmeric yoghurt and a poached egg). Meanwhile, mezzes feature pan-seared bream, almond and dill gremolata, roasted chicken, sun-dried tomato harissa, fresh herb salad, labneh and nigella seeds; and Greek feta sausage, louvi beans, grated plum tomatoes and herb salad.

Solaya

A French Mediterranean restaurant and bar located in art’otel London Hoxton, Solaya is led by Michelin-starred chef Kenny Atkinson. The restaurant is inspired by the sun-drenched flavours of Southern France and the Mediterranean and is perched high on the 25th floor of the hotel. The menu features tuna carpaccio, alongside the rich Bouillabaisse with lobster, paying homage to coastal Mediterranean cuisine. Other standouts include oven-roasted sole with capers, lemon and parsley and steak tartare with confit yolk and sourdough toast with umami-rich flavours.

Tobi Masa

Widely regarded as the chef who redefined sushi in America, Tobi Masa transformed the landscape of New York dining when he opened Masa in 2004. Today, Masa holds three Michelin stars and remains one of the most sought-after dining experiences in the US. At the new London outpost, look forward to iconic dishes like the all-seafood surimi masa pasta, peking duck tacos and the indulgent masa toro tartare – a blend of finely chopped fatty tuna topped with caviar.

Labombe by Trivet

A brand new partnership from the team behind two Michelin-Starred Trivet, and COMO Metropolitan London, Labombe by Trivet will be a wine-forward restaurant from co-founders Chef Jonny Lake and Master Sommelier Isa Bal. To start, think grilled duck heart and cherry skewers and king oyster gildas alongside the hot tongue bun borrowed from Trivet, whilst larger plates will consist of grilled monkfish with braised coco beans, vinegared chicken sauce and green peppercorns and costoletta alla milanese with fresh cabbage and agrodolce. Dishes from the grill include Iberico chops, steaks, and whole grilled fish simply cooked and served with dressed sides for the table.

HUO

Chelsea favourite HUŎ will open their next site in London’s leafy Belsize Village. Head Chef Yam Gurung has curated a menu which includes carefully selected dishes from around China and Southeast Asia, with an emphasis on using the freshest and healthiest ingredients, all cooked from scratch using traditional Chinese, Thai, Malaysian and Singaporean recipes. Dishes are designed for sharing, and include Thai lobster crackers, soft shell crab, handmade dim sum, Thai sea bass fillet steamed with chilli and lemongrass and triple-cooked Dover sole with asparagus, garlic and chilli and more.

Cicoria

Chef and restaurateur Angela Hartnett brings Cicoria and Bar Cicoria to the Royal Opera House, where you can expect sophisticated yet simple, Italian-inspired cuisine at this an all-day rooftop bar experience situated in the heart of Covent Garden. Perched on the fifth floor of the Royal Opera House, the restaurant will serve lunch and dinner and is set to showcase the flavours and ingredient-led approach that have become Angela’s hallmark.

Aki

Aki is a striking new contemporary Japanese restaurant opening at One Cavendish Square, with a Kyoto-inspired, farm-to-table menu and a bold European–Japanese fusion design. On your plate, look forward to dishes like wagyu tataki with truffle and mustard pickle, hay-smoked scallop with tofu and apple tosazu jelly, and natto and yuzu-marinated lamb with ume boshi and herb miso. The cocktail list pays homage to Japanese craftsmanship with highlights like Hishio, a twist on the Negroni with etsu original and double orange, manchino rosso and chinato vermouth, Campari, homemade ponzum and the Ha no Kaori, a grassy and lemony cocktail showcasing the elegant flavours of Sansho leaves with sansho pepper cordial, coconut water, honey and passion fruit, lime juice.

Heard

Following the success of its food truck origins and recent opening in Borough, Heard, the elevated burger restaurant from two-Michelin-starred chef Jordan Bailey, will launch a new site just off Carnaby Street, Soho, this September. The Soho burger, inspired by its namesake, is built around a generous 155g patty of British beef, blended from chuck, brisket, and rib cap, with melted gruyère, layered with sweet caramelised onion, thyme and peppery watercress, with mustard mayo, tarragon and plenty of chopped cornichons and a pink peppercorn sauce. Could this be London’s new favourite burger? Could be…

Kudu

The acclaimed South African-inspired restaurant from husband-and-wife duo Amy Corbin and Patrick Williams will officially open the doors to its new site in Marylebone this month. The menu includes Kudu Bread, a signature staple that has earned a cult following and serves as a subtle nod to the food of South African vineyard workers. Mains make full use of the braai, the South African style of open-fire cooking – highlights include pork chops, grilled and served with pickled mustard seeds and traditional monkey gland sauce – a sticky South African condiment typically served with barbecued meats, and Cape Malay monkfish potjie with pickled fennel and sea beets, where tender monkfish is cooked in a clay pot and infused with the gentle smoke of the fire.

Slayer

Slayer brings a slice of downtown New York to Notting Hill. The takeaway slice shop is a love letter to NYC pizza culture, serving up only 25 pies a day to ensure each oversized slice delivers a perfectly crisp base and lives up to the Slayer slogan – ‘No flop. Just crunch. Further inside, you’ll find an elevated dining space, complete with elegant table settings and a polished service that reinvents pizza for the upscale diner. Slayer’s menu is overseen by Chef Angelo Cassata – born in Naples, raised in Tuscany, trained in New York and honed at London’s most prestigious members’ clubs.
