From Chloé’s vintage-feel florals to high street folk-inspired embroidery and mid-range brands that know their way around a ruffle, pretty swimwear is everywhere this summer. Scroll to shop our favourites before they sell out.

While a classic black one-piece feels like a safe bet, and a Hunza-G-inspired crinkle suit will always be a favourite with denim shorts, there’s something about a pretty swimsuit that I’ve always been drawn to. It’s a quick ticket to that free-spirited summer boho mood, salty hair and sandy toes welcome.

The high street has some brilliant, budget-friendly options, like Mango’s super-flattering halterneck polka dot print (it’s giving Pretty Woman but on a yacht), and Free People’s fun ruffled-legged buttermilk yellow option – slightly more expensive but a good investment (I’ve had my eye on this for over a year, which proves it’s a keeper.

This dreamy folk-inspired embroidered swimsuit is high street and it’s under £50.

If you’re looking to invest in your holiday wardrobe, check out brands like Agua Bendita for the most charming prints in gorgeous pastel hues – they’ve also collaborated with Anthropologie this summer, where you’ll find more affordable price points. As well as my personal favourite, Peony. If I’m investing in one swimsuit this summer, it’s their chocolate brown floral print. A refreshing change from my usual black, I love the retro print and flattering ruched detail. I’m picturing it with frayed denim shorts, a raffia bag, and a silk headscarf.

If I’m investing in one swimsuit this summer, it’s this. The chocolate brown base makes a refreshing change from my usual black, and I love the retro print and flattering ruched detail.

Vintage-feel floral prints are such a great juxtaposition under an oversized white shirt.

If you’re after something really special (hand-embroidered, candy-coloured crystal prints), look to Oceanus – a brand loved by the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Poppy Delevingne, and Anya Taylor-Joy.
