You may be familiar with the impossibly chic Parisian names, London’s cool girls or the anything-goes-style mavens of Copenhagen, but have you heard of the Lisbon style influencers making waves on Instagram of late?

You have likely seen one or two of them nailing an eclectic mixing pot of trends already – from the leopard print trousers to slogan tees, neckerchiefs to cowgirl-inspired pieces, but now you can put some faces to names, follow and start saving for future style inspiration. The aesthetic? Joyfully rule-breaking, colour-popping, print-clashing and, above all, a heap of fun. Here are eight names worth following…

Bárbara Santiago

barbarasantiago.r

From those Ganni leopard print jeans to a high street fringed jacket that could pass for 1970s vintage, there isn’t a piece in Bárbara Santiago’s wardrobe we don’t want to *borrow*. The Lisbon designer (who currently resides in Sydney) proves that breaking the rules – whether clashing prints or mixing myriad genres – is exactly where the fun sits in fashion.

Inês Isaías

@inesisaias

From prairie-style headscarves to Ganni-esque oversized collars, boho quilted jackets to the influencer’s current prerequisite pair of striped trousers, Portugal’s Inês Isaías is the embodiment of Insta star. Follow her for plenty of inspo on what the cool girls are wearing now.

Raquel Costa Gomes

@raquelcostagomess

From thrift shopping to independent brands, boho-inspired accessories to OTT knits, there is a reason why Lisbon’s Raquel Costa Gomes is currently on our most saved list. Follow for an eclectic mix of brands, rule-breaking pieces and a hazy 1970s colour palette.

Vicky Montanari

@vicmontanari

If you’re after a masterclass in accessorising like a Lisbon girl via those little squares, Vicky Montanari is a must-follow. From mustard ballet flats to Roman Holiday-inspired headscarves, lessons in layering to copious print clashes, there’s plenty here to ‘save to favourites.’

Caetana Botelho Afonso

@caetanaba

From floor-skimming boho dresses to quirky knits, Caetana’s free-spirited style sits somewhere between surfer chic and TikTok’s ‘Eclectic Grandpa‘ trend. Follow for punchy accessories, fun two-pieces and laid-back ’90s denim.

Mafalda Patrício

@mafaldapatricio

Content creator and new mum-of-one, Mafalda Patrício’s, current sartorial staples range from corsages in the hair to muted co-ords. Her style is a little more sober than some Lisbon girlies, with a more muted colour palette and some seriously good flat shoe options. One to follow if you’re stuck in a day-to-day style rut.

Rita Montezuma

@ritamontezuma

From Damson Madder leopard print gilets to Skall Studio embroidered two-pieces, Rita Montezuma knows her indie and sustainable labels. Follow her if you are keen to make your wardrobe stand out with unique charm but want to shop more consciously.

Tarla Barbosa Romano

@tarlajb

Model and interior designer Tarla Romano is fast gaining a following on Instagram too, thanks to her OOTDs. Slightly edgier than the typical boho-inspired Lisbon look, bookmark Tarla for outfit ideas for socks and loafers; this season’s motorcycle jacket; and excellent execution of leather and denim.

Sophia Molen

@sophiamolen

Founder and writer behind TAO Travels, Sophia Molen, has made a living from sharing her travel and fashion style. Chances are you’re already one of the 129k+ following her, but if not, check her out for a kaleidoscope of colour, unapologetically bold knits and cute candy stripes. Also, a must-follow if you’re heading to Lisbon any time soon – this girl knows where to book.
