These Are The Most Anticipated Shows Of 2026

2026 promises to be another big year for TV- particularly since there’s a lot of big-name shows returning to our screens, which we’ve been eagerly awaiting. Romantic drama Bridgerton season 4 is out this month, the raunchily enjoyable Rivals is getting a second season, and the long wait will soon be over for Euphoria season 3. Here are some of the most anticipated shows of the first few months of 2026…
Bridgerton, Season 4

Romance and gossip are in the air once again- it’s nearly time for more Bridgerton, and you’ll want to make sure you have a ticket to the masquerade ball. This season will focus on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), the second eldest of the siblings, as he attends a masked ball and meets a “lady in silver” whom he becomes besotted with. Benedict is desperate to track her down again and find out her real identity- but unbeknownst to him, she is Sophie (Yerin Ha), a housemaid for whom a potential romance would be frowned upon. But of course, when have such things ever stopped romantic antics when it comes to Bridgerton?

Industry, Season 4

Industry is back and, believe it or not, it may have even higher stakes than ever. Both Harper (Myha’la) and Yasmin Kara-Hanani (Marisa Abela) are at the top of their game in the financial world and have firmly left Pierpoint behind. As season 4 gets underway, though, both will be drawn into a “globetrotting cat and mouse game”- there’s a new fintech company on the scene making waves. Harper crosses paths with Whitney Halberstram (played by Max Minghella), an enigmatic executive, and Yasmin continues her relationship with tech founder Henry Muck.

Rivals, Season 2

2024’s raunchiest show returns this year, bringing us back to Dame Jilly Cooper’s Rutshire for more exploits. The main cast from the first season is signed on to come back, including Aidan Turner, David Tennant, Alex Hassel and Bella MacLean. What lies in store? If you remember from the final episode of Rivals’ last outing, Lord Tony Baddingham (Tennant) is hit over the head with a TV award and left bleeding- but is evidently still alive, and not happy. Meanwhile, the battle between Corinium and Venturer in TV town is set to continue, and there’ll be as much relationship drama as you could want. Newcomers include Hayley Atwell and Rupert Everett.

The Testaments

The Handmaid’s Tale ended last year, but that doesn’t mean we’re gone from Gilead for long. The Testaments will be a sequel series to the original, adapting the novel of the same name, which was released in 2019. Set several years following the final episode of Handmaid, it focuses on a new group of women that includes Agnes, the daughter of June and played by One Battle After Another star Chase Infiniti. She’s joined by Daisy (Lucy Halliday) and Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) as they attempt to rebel against the oppressive oligarchy that still controls their lives. Expect it to arrive on Disney* later in 2026.

Euphoria, Season 3

Euphoria Season 3 has been a long time coming- it’s been four years since Season 2 debuted back in 2022. But now, at last, it’s set to hit our screens this April, and as you’d probably expect, there’s been a pretty significant time jump for our characters. Zendaya returns as Rue, now an adult, living in Mexico and struggling with drug debt, with Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi back as Cassie and Nate, who are now engaged and living in the suburbs- but not necessarily happy. Jules (Hunter Schaefer) is at art school and hoping to pursue a career as a painter, and the third and final season will explore the responsibilities and struggles of moving into adulthood.

The Gentlemen, Season 2

Bombastic Guy Ritchie crime comedy The Gentleman is also returning for a second season, and as we catch up with Eddie (Theo James) and Suzie (Kaya Scodelario), we’re moving from the English countryside to the Italian lakes. Eddie and Suzie are now partners in business, and as Ritchie puts it, they “find themselves navigating an increasingly volatile empire as they’re besieged on all fronts by an influx of enigmatic new players. The stakes are heightened, the power dynamics are more precarious.” Both are also concerned by the moves and decisions being made by Bobby (Ray Winstone)- can they avoid losing it all? Newcomers include Hugh Bonneville, Chris Eubank Jr and Maya Jama.

A Knight of Seven Kingdoms

Another spin-off of Game of Thrones, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, looks to be a smaller, less complex story set in the Westeros mythos. The more contained series stars Peter Claffey as Ser Duncan the Tall, a hedge knight navigating Westeros around 100 years before GOT, with the Targaryen line still on the Iron Throne. Joining him is his diminutive but courageous squire, Aegon Targaryen, known as Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell). Together, they embark on a series of dangerous and remarkable adventures, as a great destiny lies ahead.

Dear England

You don’t have to be a football fanatic to enjoy Dear England, the forthcoming BBC One series that stars Joseph Fiennes as Sir Gareth Southgate. It adapts James Graham’s stage play, which won acclaim for its characterisation and made the sometimes over-complicated world of football easier to understand. Like the play, it tells the story of how Gareth Southgate, having been appointed England manager, pulls the English national team out of its rut and coaches a new generation of players to become a new source of national pride. As Gareth deals with his own demons from playing for England, he leads the team to their best results in the World Cup and Euros for a long time.
