We are lucky to have an incredible high street packed with directional fashion and lust-worthy accessories. This season is no exception, from burgundy bags to studded pumps, affordable accessories have never looked so expensive. Zara and H&M both feature cutting-edge pieces that are extremely easy on the credit card. Zara, for one, is a treasure trove of temptation with suede totes, full blanket-style scarves and embellished clutches. Similarly, Spanish-born store Mango is a constant with exceptional handbags and edgy footwear.
A touch more pricey, yet totally worth every penny, Arket and Cos, have nailed those designer-inspired accessories. Both represent that pared-back Scandinavian aesthetic, so unsurprisingly, the clean lines and soft leather make for stunning fashion. Arket’s pointed pumps are most definitely on my AW24 wish list, while the Cos mohair scarf will make the perfect Christmas gift.
High Street accessories are looking not just expensive, but feel it, too.
Also, when it comes to colours, it’s relevant to note that where accessories look designer, they’re created in the hottest shades of the season, which also happen to be some of the most classic. So, if you’re looking to upgrade your outfit, consider those chocolate browns, burgundy and timeless black. Oh, and everyone loves a touch of animal print.
